Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. All surgical blades manufactured by Aditya Dispomed are supplied as sterile, single-use disposable medical devices intended for clinical and surgical applications.
We manufacture surgical blades in commonly used sizes for fitment 3 & 4 and other standard configurations as per clinical requirements. These cover the needs of general surgery, dentistry, veterinary and dermatology, including special blades such as size 10R (butter knife) and size 14 used for dermaplaning.
The most commonly used surgical blade sizes include blades 10, 11, 12, 15, 20 and 22. Blade 10 is typically used for general skin incisions, blade 11 for stab incisions and drainage procedures, blade 12 for suture removal and dental procedures, and blade 15 for small precise incisions in dermatology and plastic surgery.
Surgical blade size 11 is commonly used for abscess drainage because its sharp triangular point allows controlled stab incisions and precise entry into tissue.
Dermatological procedures commonly use blades 15 and 15C because their small curved cutting edge allows precise superficial skin incisions required in dermatology and cosmetic procedures.
